This brief focuses on designing a collaborative workspace aimed for start-up freelance digital designers, also focusing in detail on the kitchen island construction located in the ground floor plan. 

 

Located in a reused church in Newcastle Upon Tyne, with a view of Heaton Park, The office, Cork Studio, has a meeting room on the ground floor and adaptable workspaces for rent on the mezzanine level.

 

As for the kitchen island, it is equipped with a sink, storage and tea/coffee display. It features a round stand table, plants and hidden LED lights. The concrete countertop allows it to flow well with the flooring and the cork is used as part of the branding.
